Trampolines are a great way to promote outdoor fun and exercise for the whole family and have become more and more popular as the years have gone buy. There is now a huge choice and range on the market and once purchased require very little on-going maintenance. To keep your trampoline in tip top condition please read the following Guidance Notes which form part of your trampoline instructions and warranty.
Check that your trampoline has been assembled in accordance with the instruction book provided and that all securing bolts are tight. Please make sure that the trampoline has been placed on grass or a suitable BSI approved matting surface. Use of the trampoline on a concrete, tarmac or gravel service will cause extra stress and strain on the trampoline and cause premature ageing of the components. This wear and tear will not be covered under your warranty.
Choose the positioning of your trampoline carefully to make sure that there is nothing above, such as overhanging tree branches which could cause a problem to the users or trees or bushes around the trampoline which branches protrude and could snag the enclosure netting or spring padding.
For your safety and to abide by the warranty conditions please note the following:-
This is sports equipment and is subject to adult supervision at all times during use. Only one person should be on the trampoline at any one time. Wear appropriate clothing and remove shoes, jewellery or any other item which may cause damage to the trampoline, padding or enclosure.
On a regular basis prior to use carry out a visual inspection of the trampoline to make sure that all bolts and fittings are secure. Check for rust, for example where the frame may have been scratched breaking down the galvanisation process, if rust is appearing you can apply a proprietary rust eater treatment. The galvanisation process will help to prevent rust but is not guaranteed to stop rust forming. Cover the trampoline when not in use to stop debris accumulating on the trampoline. Avoid excessive exposure to harsh sunlight as this can bleach coloured components of the trampoline. Bleaching is not a fault of the product and is therefore not covered under the warranty. Periodically clean the spring cover padding with a cloth and warm water only. Do not use bleach or other cleaning products on your trampoline. It is advisable to remove any enclosure during adverse weather. Trampolines are susceptible to movement in strong winds and could sustain damage which would not be covered under warranty. Anchor kits can be used to help steady a trampoline during use and to prevent movement during strong winds but are not guaranteed to prevent damage occurring.
If possible dismantle and carefully store your trampoline away during the winter months, if this is not possible, remove enclosure (store away safely) and cover trampoline with an appropriate trampoline cover. Protect trampoline if bonfires are being used nearby or during the use of fireworks as stray sparks or embers may burn holes in the PVC padding or the permatron bounce mat. By adhering to these care guidelines you will be able to enjoy your trampoline for many seasons to come.
Please note that the padding, springs, enclosure are wear and tear items and will require replacing after a period of time due to natural wear and tear, this period of time varies dependant on the usage of the product. Failure of these items due to wear and tear is not a manufacturing fault or fault with the product.
